Zondo Visit 2008

Family of Hope Executive Director Jacob Karngar spent September in Liberia. Jacob had travel and health difficulties, but nothing could dampen his conviction that the Zondo school is making a tremendous difference to the students and in the community. While in Zondo, Jacob filmed classroom scenes and interviewed Principal Arthur Crusoe and Academic Dean and Counselor Bill Dean.

The still pictures below are from the footage that Jacob filmed.

On the Road: Then and Now

In 2007, a 5+ mile walk through the jungle and over log footbridges was the only way to reach Zondo. top

A new motor road built in 2008 now allows travelers to reach the school by car. One of the old footbridges is visible from the new auto bridge.
